Fremont Outdoor Cinema Goes Jurassic

jurassic_park_ver2This Saturday, the Fremont Outdoor Movie season has a particularly monstrous closing with the screening of the original (and still the best) ‘Jurassic Park’.  Come enjoy the finale, seating starts at 7p with the movie at dusk, to the Talenti Gelato sponsored season of Outdoor Movies.

The 1993 action-packed film featured, among many talented actors, the late Lord Richard Attenborough as the grandfather, and misguided creator of the title amusement park.  According to the obituary in the Seattle Times, Academy Award winning director and actor Lord Attenborough passed away last Sunday, August 24th, just five days shy of his 91st birthday.

Directed by Steve Spielberg, based on the Michael Crichton novel, the central characters in ‘Jurassic Park’ were actually the dinosaurs brought to life through groundbreaking computer-generated imagery by Industrial Light & Magic and life-sized animatronics built by Stan Winston’s team.  This film is meant for the big screen – and where better to see a big screen movie than projected on the side of the Fremont Studios building and watched while sitting on a U-Park lot in Fremont.

Purchase advance tickets – for you and your crew – through EventBrite, and B.Y.O.C. (Bring Your Own Chair) and blankets for watching.  Find out more, and any emergency weather changes, on the Fremont Outdoor Movies Facebook Page.
