The volunteers that maintain Fremont Peak Park will be out in full force this Sunday, February 9th, from 10a – 1p, and they could use your help. Although Phil The Groundhog has said that winter will persist for another six weeks, it is still a good time to trim the grass and pull the weeds so that mulch can be laid in March. An early start will help avoid accidental treading on tulip buds, and make flowers more visible when they get full grown.
Please, RSVP to info@FremontPeakPark.org if you can lend a hand – all day or just half-an-hour – so that enough tools, and snacks, will be available. Families and friends are welcome to come and help, as well as those who simply want to meet the amazing volunteers that keep this pocket park beautiful for all of us to enjoy!
