Fremont Shows Its Seahawk Spirit

On Friday, January 30th, Fremonsters gathered around the ‘hood to show their support and 12th Man spirit for our Seattle Seahawks as they prepared for battle against the New England Patriots at the 49th Super Bowl.

At the Fremont Branch of HomeStreet Bank, food and a raffle were available for visitors wanting to gather and share in the enthusiasm for the Seahawks, with the team’s official bank sponsor.

Then, at Evanston Plaza, Google gathered its most stalwart team supporters – and a few area ringers – to stand in 12 formation.

Then, finally, at Solstice Plaza, Space Needle representatives shared an opportunity to wonder at, and sign, the tattered 12th Man flag that flew during the tumultuous NFC Playoff game against the Green Bay Packers on January 18th.

All this only built up Fremont fans for their celebrations on Sunday, February 1st – with many of the pubs and restaurants around our ‘hood offering specials during the game.  Check the Fremocentrist.com calendar for some of the most organized festivities!
