On Tuesday, March 26th, from 5:30p – 7:30p, at the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library, an Open House on the King County Fremont Siphon Replacement Project will show the progress of public design on this project, and the next steps to be taken.
At a public workshop held in January, Fremonsters gave input on the design of a new facility to be built at North 36th Street & 1st Avenue Northwest. This will be a permanent facility, as part of the new, replacement sewer line beneath the Lake Washington Ship Canal. King County Project staff will present two design options developed from the workshop input, including designs for the landscaping and architecture.
Attendees on March 26th will be invited to share their views on the options presented, and ask questions of staff on-hand – on the entire project, the timeline (construction is currently scheduled to start in mid-2014,) and efforts to mitigate impacts.
For more information, or to arrange accommodations for people with disabilities to attend the Open House, contact Adair Muth at 206/263-7319, adair.muth@kingcounty.gov or 711 TTY Relay.
