Into November, access to NW Canal Street from 2nd Ave NW will be closed as crews connect the new City of Seattle Combined Sewer Overflow drain pipe to the existing city sewer system.

This is part of the replacement of the Fremont Siphon, a huge construction project being done by the King County Wastewater Treatment Division.  Find out more about this project through the Fremont Siphon website.

For safety, project managers recommend avoiding the construction site when possible, and no engagement with individuals working at the site.  Any questions about this long-term project can be answered by calling the project information line, 24/7, at 206/205-5428.
