The Auction of Washington Wines, a non-profit organization advocating on behalf of winemakers across our state, has released the results of a survey of wine purchasing trends at the PCC Fremont.

Between June 2017 and May 2018, the three most popular types of wine purchased (in order) are:

  • Prosecco
  • Rosé
  • Tinto and Blanca

This is Washington State Wine Month, and a great time to try out a locally made wine.  One great place to try some tasty vintages is the annual Winemaker Picnic & Barrel Auction hosted by the Auction of Washington Wines, to be held on Thursday, August 16th starting at 4p.

Held at Chateau Ste. Michelle, in Woodinville, this is the state’s largest wine-focused charitable event of the year.  Enjoy hundreds of wines, poured by more than 60 winemakers representing more than 80 wineries.  Representatives from PCC will also be there, pouring their hand-picked selections.

All proceeds raised at the Picnic & Barrel Auction will benefit the Seattle Children’s Hospital and Washington State University’s Viticulture & Enology program.  Tickets to this fundraising showcase of Washington wine can be purchased over the Auction of Washington Wines website (click here.)
