Friends Of North Lake Union Host Community Meetings On Waterway 22 Improvements

800pxFONLUSep16_PublicOutreachThe Friends Of North Lake Union (FONLU) welcome neighbors to attend one of two community meetings on potential improvements to public Waterway 22.  The two meetings will be held at the Miir Flagship Store at 6:45p on Tuesdays, September 13th and September 27th.

Waterway22 is at the foot of Stone Way, where Lake Union meets the shore.  This unimproved public waterway could become a park, outlook or provide a pathway.  Currently Waterway 22 collects litter and grows invasive plant species.  FONLU members want input on what potential improvements neighbors want for this public space.

Snacks will be provided at the Miir Store, located near Waterway 22, along the Burke-Gilman Trail.  Please stop by either September 13th or 27th to learn more about the potential for Waterway 22, and give opinions on what might be done.

Also, read about FONLU, and these on-going efforts, in a Fremocentrist.com column from May 2015.
