On Thursday, September 28th, at the Fremont Foundry, a very special, very unusual fashion show is taking place. In collaboration with Outsider Comics & Geek Boutique, Geekbound will walk the runway at the Foundry, a geek-ware celebration of clothes, costumes and comic culture. Doors open at 6p, with the runway walk at 7p.
Geek fashion designer Catherine Elhoffer is bringing her collection to Seattle from Los Angeles, along with designers Bombsheller, Spider Baby, Frock Shop and Deela Designs. Models of all ages, genders and body types will be showing off the unique outfits – while attendees mingle, meet designers and comic artists, and enjoy delicious food and drink.
Take time to sample the nerd culture, and meet artists Elk Paauw, Tatiana Gill, Iris Jay and Jen Vaughn. Shop the trunk show. Listen to music from DJs Events 42. And purchase food from Bread and Circuses – those 21+ can also get drinks from the cash bar.
Tickets for Geekbound cost $20 in advance, or $25 at the door, while they last. Find more information on the Facebook events page. Tickets can also be purchased through The World Is Fun!
