On Saturday, February 27th, from 10a – 2p, the Seattle Rose Society will host its annual free rose pruning demonstration at the Rose Garden in Woodland Park Zoo.
Learn where and how to properly cut your plants, and discover different pruning techniques for different varieties of roses. Gain valuable insight into the world of roses and get educated answers to all your questions.
The Woodland Park Rose Garden is free-to-enter and is a splendid setting for learning about these beautiful but sometimes difficult garden greats. Its 2½ acres of displays include bush roses, hybrid teas, floribundas, grandifloras, and climbing plants to provide a gorgeous showcase for this day of learning and exploring.
The demonstration will take place, rain or shine, and will include light refreshments. The Seattle Rose Society, started in 1913, has over 200 enthusiastic and active members all over the Puget Sound who bring a wide variety of interests and experiences. This is a once-a-year educational opportunity, and free! Whether you have a hankering to get a rose plant, or already have twenty, stop by and get answers to all your questions.
