Reiter addresses Outdoor Movie crowd before Ghostbusters screening on July 10, 2010 Photo by K. Lindsay

At the July 10th Fremont Outdoor Movies, the Windermere Coho Realty team bought out the show.  Donations taken at the door that night totaled $3,360 which the Coho team have promised to match and donate to Solid Ground, according to a Solid Ground representative.

Attendees that evening also heard from Ryan Reiter, an Outdoor Movies organizer.  He reported that while it looks as if the Zombie Walk, held on July 3rd, successfully won Fremont back the Guiness World Record – a group in Sacramento, California had set out, that night, to take the record for themselves.  Reiter promised another attempt will be held, before launching the screening of that night’s movie, Ghostbusters.

Members of the Coho Team turned the Fremont Outdoor Cinema into a fundraiser for Solid Ground on July 10, 2010

More films still to come to the big, white wall:

July 17 – The Hangover

July 24 – Zoolander

July 31 – Fritz Lang’s Metropolis with live orchestra

Aug 7 – Pretty In Pink

Aug 14 – The Goonies
