Friday, October 1st, will be the monthly Fremont First Friday Art Walk. This month, in addition to the multitudinous variety of galleries, shops, offices and restaurants that display art during every Walk, Fremonsters can stroll westward and meet the artists at ActivSpace (700 NW 42nd St). Don’t miss out on this chance to see studios and enjoy works never before seen at a Walk. Oh, and while visiting Fremont’s West End, this is a perfect excuse to stop by Hale’s for a beer – or a nosh.
Frame Up (3515 Fremont Ave N) participated, as usual, in the September Art Walk, and Rob Bradley, the shops owner, had good news to report on selling the Fremont Fair posters again this year in his shop. He sells the posters, rolled up, for $10 each, and donates back all the proceeds to Solid Ground to support their work toward ending poverty. This year he raised $620! He also sells the posters framed, at the cost of the framing, which makes an incredibly good gift – particularly this year’s outrageously popular penguin motif!
