‘Grappa’ is the distillation of the pomace (skins and seeds) left over after grapes are pressed for wine.  For some, grappa is synonymous with firewater, but The Barrel Thief has a tasting scheduled for Tuesday, February 18th at 7p where they promise delicious, refined, complex and nuanced grappa for your tasting pleasure.

Sure, there’s plenty of nasty grappa lurking out there, but don’t expect to find it at The Barrel Thief next Tuesday.  Instead, this unique tasting will feature many fine Italian and local grappas, complimented with a few Italian liqueurs and amaros, plus light snacks.

The Barrel Thief, which has educated interested, and selective, drinkers in Port, bourbon, and maraschino cherries, has promised that this tasting will change your mind about grappa – or simply open it to more possibilities!  Come take a sip!

Attendance is limited to 15 participants, over age 21, at a cost of $20 per person.  Register for your place at the table through Brown Paper Tickets today!
