In mid-March, Marit Hanson sent out a letter to supporters of Grassroots Community Acupuncture advising them of significant changes coming to this small, but extremely accessible health resource, in order that everyone may have plenty of notice.  On May 1st, Hanson will be having her last day in practice at Grassroots, although the Community Acupuncture practice will continue.

Hanson founded Grassroots five years ago, a practice built to provide acupuncture and some other health treatments on a sliding scale payment plan accessible to all income levels, with treatments done in a community setting.  Yet, now newly married and anxious to start a family, Hanson has decided to relocate to Chelan, Washington, and give up the hard work of running the practice.

Hanson shared with her supporters the quote from Heraclitus, “Change is the only constant.”  For now, the Grassroots practice is expected to stay where it is, on North 35th Street, and continue to serve new and returning clients, although the name will change, and its owner.

Those who want to say goodbye can stop in for treatment over the next six-weeks, with May 1st being the special, annual May Day Free Acupuncture session (sign-up early, space is limited.)  If you have questions or concerns, please contact marit@grassrootswellness.com soon.

Thank you for your past, and future, support for this community treatment resource!
