It’s the new year, and a good time to answer the request of the Fremont Arts Council to fill out its survey. Our community’s creative, unconventional organization is in need of guidance on its future. Click here to answer the survey.
This scrappy and sequined non-profit has been a valued resource for Fremont, and Seattle, since the 1970s. Run by its volunteers, and from no known blueprint, the FAC has answered the needs of its community – and it needs now to know what we need it to become.
In order to remain relevant, community-based and supportive of art and artists, the FAC will require direction from us. They need to connect with the arts community, and the audience as well. They need to know the good, the bad and the troll-like – and they need to know it now.
The Fremont Arts Council has produced some of the most outrageous and iconic events our city has seen. The FAC Solstice Parade is legendary, and a bedrock of Fremont’s summer season, but under the demands of COVID-precautions, it is hard to know if the wild and whimsical celebration will be welcome this June. Without a Solstice Parade, or Luminata or Trolloween, the FAC has a blank slate.
Help write the future of the Fremont Arts Council. Answer the survey and help guide the brushwork of building a more sustainable FAC! Click here for the survey.
