At the corner of N 34th St & Woodlawn Avenue, the newest restaurant in the Heavy Restaurant Group has opened – Pablo Y Pablo. Heavy Restaurants already has Thackeray Café & Bar in Fremont, located in the Brooks Building on Stone Way.
A Mexican restaurant and bar, Pablo Y Pablo will serve lunch and dinner, with a great Happy Hour and soon, weekend brunch. Expect to find nice seasonal items including Heirloom Tomatoes, and vegan items including nachos and vegan chorizo tacos. In the taco section, Pablo Y Pablo will offer pork belly, Bahn Mi, wild boar meatballs, and fried soft shell crab.
Named after the deep friendship between Chilean poet Pablo Neruda and Spanish painter Pablo Picasso, the new eatery wants to give its guests an atmosphere of friendship, hospitality, and camaraderie.
Visit the Pablo Y Pablo website for more information (and yummy photos) or, better still, stop by the restaurant near Gas Works Park and see the deliciousness in person.
