This Wednesday, May 22nd, from 5 – 6:30p, two fifth graders from B.F. Day Elementary School (Fremont’s own public school,) will hold a soccer clinic as a fundraiser for another B.F. Day Student undergoing cancer treatments at Seattle Children’s Hospital. The soccer clinic takes place on the Upper Playfields at B.F. Day, and will cost a suggested donation of $10 – although all donations are welcome!
Simon Dey and James Bass, two Seattle United soccer superstars, will hold this clinic for recreational soccer players aged nine and under. Cleats are not necessary for participation, but shin guards are strongly recommended – if the child has them. Both expert and beginner kids are welcome to participate. To sign up, e-mail barbradey@gmail.com
The money raised will go to the family of Joey Saleh, a fellow B.F. Day student currently fighting a cancerous brain tumor, to help pay for medical expenses. The B.F. Day motto is ‘the Family School,’ and this effort can reinforce that message – with your help. If you cannot attend, consider making a donation through a PayPal account.
