On Sunday, November 22nd, from 10a – 4p, the Fremont Sunday Market will hold a community-wide, all-ages celebration of 25 years of hand-made, creative, and artisanal crafts, collectibles, arts, antiques and imports – and some of the best street food ever!
The changing kaleidoscope of pop-up vendors, street theater and eateries that the Fremont Sunday Market brings to our community deserves celebration. The Fremont Sunday Market remains a unique, alternative shopping experience in our city – having given birth to half-a-dozen other markets, the FSM remains a stand-alone, and one of the longest surviving weekly street markets in the world.
Bring a can of food to donate to Northwest Harvest, and win prizes from Fremont Market vendors during the anniversary celebration on November 22nd. Enjoy a plate of food from Market vendors that day for only $5, to taste and snack and explore the options available. Find out more about activities and attractions that will be part of the 25th Anniversary celebration on the Facebook event page.
Twenty-five years ago, the Fremont Sunday Market set up on a parking lot in our community – profoundly changing the street scape and history of our funky neighborhood business district. Stop by for a stroll, or just a few words of support, on November 22nd – and help them mark this big ‘Happy Birthday!’
