The Fremont Abbey Arts Center, our non-profit, all-volunteer community center, has provided programs for visitors of all ages, as well as a venue for community meetings and neighborhood celebrations. The building that houses the Fremont Abbey is given by the Church Of The Apostles, as part of its mission.
The Church Of The Apostles (COTA) is near to reaching its goal of being able to purchase the 100-year-old, landmark building – and permanently provide space for our community. Plus, once purchased in full, COTA can do improvements to the building such as:
- Energy Efficiency: Investments in insulation and solar energy can be made to lower operating costs, defer rental costs, and increase their environmental responsibility.
- Accessibility: Make the space more welcoming and inviting – and, perchance, finally realize dreams of installing an elevator.
- Financial Independence: By becoming owners instead of renters, the Church will free up funds for more giving.
A gift of any size is a blessing to us all. Please consider participating in the final push of the COTA fundraising campaign. Donate on-line, under ‘Welcome Home’, on the Apostles Church secure website – or send a check made out to COTA with ‘Welcome Home’ on the memo line.
Since 2005, COTA has provided the Fremont Abbey as a space for the community to access the arts. Every day, the doors of this beautiful old building – fixed up and improved by the COTA community – open for our neighbors for music lessons, concerts, dance performances, video-shoots, self-defense lessons, yoga, community meetings, fundraisers, concerts, weddings, and church.
