A new web portal – Seattle Newsstands.org – has launched to better provide a way for neighbors and construction workers to inform publishers and distributors about disposition of their paper holders.

According to Leanne Nelson, of the City of Seattle Department of Transportation, while City Councilmember Tom Rassmussen pushed forward this partnership, Seattle Newsstands.org is not a city project. “The City is in the background,” she explained, to help improve conditions in the public right-of-way and facilitate communications.

Seattle Newsstands.org is intended as a one-stop shop, to proactively address issues and maintenance. If you have any questions, or concerns, about the site, contact newsstands@seattle.gov
