The Fremont Arts Council (FAC) has asked for volunteers to serve on any one of its leadership teams, to bring creative problem solving to making the non-profit organization more sustainable. Your ideas are urgently needed now to help build a bigger, better Fremont Solstice Parade for 2017.
On Tuesday, April 4th, at 7:10p, please consider sitting in on the meeting of the FAC Program & Events leadership team, at the Powerhouse workshop. The Events Team focuses on planning and producing the awesome, memorable events the FAC has become known for. Three months before it takes to the streets, the Parade will be of primary importance to the Program & Events Team – after it lays out plans for the imminent May Day celebration. Come share in this important work of building community through art.
In addition to the April 4th Program & Events meeting consider attending:
- On Tuesday, April 11th, at 7:10p, the Committee Of the Whole gathers all members of the FAC, our community and the non-profit’s Board of Directors to discuss the general business of the arts organization. Come learn more about the mission of this unique neighborhood group, and how the mission is lived out.
- On Wednesday, April 19th, at 7:10p, the Communications, Outreach & Development (COD) leadership team meets at the Works Progress Co-work Space to discuss fundraising and sustainable processes for the FAC and its programs. Help refresh the materials of the FAC, and improve its outreach including its website and social media resources.
Ask questions and RSVP to volunteer@fremontartscouncil.org, and all public meetings – although you can also learn about the leadership teams through the FAC website.
The FAC engages community to cultivate the spirit of celebration, transforming everyone into an artist. The FAC’s signature event is the Fremont Solstice Parade, which arrives in three months on Saturday, June 17th at 1p, and everyone is welcome to participate and create. Come learn how!
