High Dive Hosts an Indigenous Heritage Day Celebration on Nov 26th

On Friday, November 26th, High Dive is hosting an Indigenous Heritage Day Celebration, featuring Khu.Éex’.  Get tickets NOW to attend this rare cultural event, produced by Solid Sound and glass artist Preston Singletary.

The concert and celebration will also include musical performances by Daisy Chain and Air Jazz.  The featured band, Khu.Éex’, includes storytellers, activists and artists.  Their collective energy arrives on-stage performing as one powerful unit.  The mission of Khu.Éex’ is to raise awareness of the Native American struggle and how the issues faced by Indigenous Peoples can affect all people.  Khu.Éex’ brings an all-too-rare and much-needed Indigenous perspective to their performances, using tribal culture and endangered languages, keeping these alive for the enlightenment and enjoyment of all.

Khu.Éex’ are keepers of cultural knowledge and language, with members of the Tlingit, Haida, and Blackfoot tribes among the band.  Khu.Éex’ began recording in 2013 and has, to date, released a double album, ‘The Wilderness Within’, and two LPs.  All have been produced and released by the band independently.  The band explores Jazz and Funk/Rock, with an improvisational style, fused with spoken word pieces in English, Tlinget, Haida and the Y’upic languages.  Live, Khu.Éex’ perform incorporating art, traditional masks, regalia and create a dynamic show.

Doors open at 8p for this evening of indigenous culture and heritage celebration.  Tickets are on-sale now (click here,) for $13 in advance or $18 at the door – if any tickets remain.  This is a 21+ only event, and proof of vaccination (or a negative test result) will be required at the door – along with a face mask.  Join in this opportunity to celebrate the cultures and traditions of Indigenous Heritage at High Dive.
