On Saturday, May 14th, from Noon – 6p, Gas Works Park will be overrun by marching brass, and Honk! Fest West. Last year, the festival invaded Fremont central, at 35th Ave N & Phinney Ave N, and gave everyone a rousing good time. This year, the celebration of brass bands, drum corps, and samba lines sets off to stroll the grassy meadows of Gas Works, with entertainment for all ages, and all for free!
Saturday night, at 8p, the Honk! All-Star Revue will take the stage at Hale’s Palladium, for an intimate evening of upbeat breakdowns. Tickets cost $10, and can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets, or at the door.
Also, this weekend, Honk! Fest West will visit Georgetown (today, Friday the 13th of May) starting at 6p at Airport Way & Vail. Then, on Sunday, May 15th, the rhythmic ruckusmakers take the stage at Sky Church, at Experience Music Project, from 2p – 3p, before a stroll of the Seattle Center grounds for a musical tour, an experience well seeing, and hearing.
Make sure your weekend plans include at least a few minutes of this musical, family-friendly, wildly creative expression!
