It’s that time of year, for another serving of truly outrageous, and original, offerings both theatrical and gastronomic from Café Nordo. Unfortunately, for the show this spring, Chef Nordo Lefesczki has had to use a venue slightly beyond the boundaries of the Center of the Universe – at the historic Washington Hall, in Seattle’s Central District. Beginning May 4th, explore this historic site while partaking of a progressive dinner with ‘Café Nordo’s Cabinet of Curiosities.’
Each room will entice audiences with exquisitely crafted dishes that require use of all five senses. Flights of wine, originally composed music (by Anastasia Workman) and talented performances (by Aimée Bruneau, Mark Siano, Maximillian Davis, Carter Rodriquez, Opal Peachey, Keira McDonald, Devin Bannon, Evan Mosher, and Sachie Mikawa) will further draw diners through culinary lore, and the five courses, of this singular experience.
This work adds to the award-winning ways and well-deserved reputation of Café Nordo. Four previous shows – The Modern American Chicken, Bounty! An Epic Adventure in Seafood, Sauced, and To Savor Tomorrow – have delighted audiences and critics, all staged here in Fremont. With ‘Café Nordo’s Cabinet of Curiosities’ the production team further challenges their audiences preconceived notions about quality dining and theater.
With only 60 ‘seats’ available per night, in a limited six week engagement, it would be wise to order tickets immediately. The show runs through June 17th, on Thursdays – Sundays. Purchase tickets at Brown Paper Tickets. This is a 21+ show, and does include stairs. Email chefnordo@gmail.com for more information about the show – or to get on the mailing list about future performances.
While the ‘Cabinet’ may require leaving Fremont, Café Nordo has always proven to be worth the effort…
