On Monday, March 2nd, at 6:30p, the public can attend the City of Seattle Design Review on a development proposed for 743 N 35th, next door to the Fremont Branch of the Seattle Public Library. This presentation will take place at the Ballard Community Center, and will discuss the construction of a five-story structure containing 56 residential units, 1,881 sq. ft. of retail and 10 parking spaces below grade.
This project, #3016369, will require a Seattle City Council Land Use Action to rezone the property from a height restriction of 40’ to 65’, to allow construction of five-stories on the steep slope.
The Seattle Department of Planning & Development Director will accept written comment on this proposal for design review through March 2nd, but only on the site planning and design issues. Written comments, and requests to be made a party of record, should be submitted to PRC@seattle.gov or mailed to the City of Seattle DPD PRC, 700 – 5th Ave, Suite 2000, P.O. Box 34019, Seattle, WA 98124-4019.
However, those who wish to make formal comment on this project are encouraged to attend the public meeting on March 2nd, at the Ballard Community Center, and sign-in before the presentation starts to speak. Comments must be limited to design considerations.
