Today is the first day for a new business in Fremont. Today, Fremont Community Acupuncture opens to provide affordable acupuncture – in the former home, and practice, of Grassroots Community Acupuncture.
The owner of Grassroots, Marit Hanson, has chosen to move on and Nick Bowden, a long-time practitioner at Grassroots, has agreed to take over. He’s renamed the clinic ‘Fremont’ and wrote that he, “…could not be more thrilled and excited about the opportunity to continue in her tradition…”
Bowden plans to maintain the clinic in much the same model Hanson built it, but he does plan credit cards to the payment options and to switch over to a new online appointment scheduler. During the transition, however, he also wrote to clients and supporters in the Grassroots e-newsletter that NAET treatments and the Wednesday morning treatment shift will be suspended for an indeterminate amount of time.
Bowden chose to launch his clinic with one of Hanson’s long-standing traditions – the Annual May Day offering of Free Acupuncture. For those unable to schedule an appointment on-line, consider stopping by anyway to say farewell to Hanson and good luck to Bowden.
Even if you don’t make it by today, consider checking out the quiet, relaxing, healing space that Grassroots became, and Fremont Community Acupuncture will, under Bowden’s guidance, continue to be.
