On Sunday, July 12th, after its 5p weekly service, at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center, the Church of The Apostles will hold a BBQ and fundraising Pie Eating Contest.
Put on your apron and whip out your Grandma’s secret blue-ribbon recipe, because it’s pie time! Anyone is welcome to bring a pie (or other dessert) and cards will be provided to give the name of the dish and allergy information (those who bring a non-gluten dessert earn jewels for their heavenly crown.)
Tastings, and one vote, will be a suggested $5 donation – additional votes can also be purchased. Vote early and often for your favorite! The most voted pie chef will receive a fabulous prize, the acclaim of our community and bragging rights.
The money raised will go to COTA’s support of denominational ordination, and the church’s general budget. The goal is $250.
