On Saturday, April 9th, the newly opened Fremont Branch of Key Bank welcomed a number of celebrities and community folk.  With former Seattle Mariner Jay Buhner, and Randy Lundquist, of Oldies 95.7, on-hand the bank also drew in a few local celebrities – including B.F. Day Elementary School Principal, Susan McCloskey.

After attendees lunched on Mad Pizza, snacked on popcorn and sampled delicious caramels from Theo Chocolate, plus face painting by Kimmy’s Kloset, Key Branch Manager for Fremont, Samira Salkic, presented Principal McCloskey with a $1,000 check for our local elementary school.

The donation, according to Key Bank representatives, demonstrates the commitment by the bank towards philanthropy, and specifically towards supporting local causes.  Now that the party has ended, and the chocolates devoured (I only ate a few, I swear!) Key Bank remains open to the customers, and the curious.  For those interested in finding out more about the bank, stop by the new branch – at 501 North 34th Street – and say hi!
