Kvichak Marine, a Vigor Company, has just delivered a fourth 45’ response boat, designed and made, to long-time customer the New York Police Department Harbor Unit.
This Response Boat is a commercial variant of a design created specifically for use for the U.S. Coast Guard. The original vessel was designed by Kvichak, in partnership with Camarc Design, for high-speed and high performance including tactical handling and specialized mission capabilities. To date, 174 response boats have been delivered to the Coast Guard.
The commercial variant, delivered to NYPD, offers more crew comfort and amenities, but features the same capabilities for maritime security. “It has proven itself to be ideal for patrol, law enforcement and search & rescue operation,” said Art Parker, Vigor Business Development Manager.
