As reported in the Fremocentrist.com for April 4th, the Seattle Police Department took delivery of a Kvichak Marine Industries 45’ Response Boat Medium – C (RBM-C,) to be named Patrol 9.  A press release received this week confirmed delivery, and also reported that Kvichak is currently building two additional RBM-C vessels for the New York Police Department.

Patrol 9 will go into full-service on May 5th, the Opening Day of Boating Season in Seattle.  However, the boat will be on display at the Seattle Maritime Festival on May 12th, and a special Open House at the SPD Harbor Patrol headquarters on May 19th from 11a – 3p.

Hosted in part by Kvichak, the Open House will allow the public to come in and see the three Kvichak vessels in daily use by the Harbor Patrol, as well as the many tools used by our maritime patrol – and meet the officers that keep our waterways safe.
