This month, drivers on northbound State Route 99 / Aurora Avenue / George Washington Memorial Bridge should be prepared for daytime and nighttime lane closures.

The right lanes will be closed starting March 28th, and will last through the end of this month.  Expect:

  • Weekdays – one right lane closed from 6:30a – 2p
  • Saturdays – one right lane closed from 7a – 5p
  • two right lanes closed from 9p – 5a

These lane closures will allow contractor crews, working for the Washington State Department of Transportation, to install a work platform and containment system for use during painting of parts of the historic bridge structure.
