Lane Closures On Aurora Bridge For Painting Work

This month, drivers on northbound State Route 99 / Aurora Avenue / George Washington Memorial Bridge should be prepared for daytime and nighttime lane closures.

The right lanes will be closed starting March 28^th, and will last through the end of this month. Expect:

Weekdays – one right lane closed from 6:30a – 2p
Saturdays – one right lane closed from 7a – 5p
two right lanes closed from 9p – 5a

These lane closures will allow contractor crews, working for the Washington State Department of Transportation, to install a work platform and containment system for use during painting of parts of the historic bridge structure.
