Learn About Living With The Bears At Woodland Park Zoo

On Saturday, June 7th, from 9:30a – 3p, the Woodland Park Zoo will be doing presentations on bears – particularly on their habits when encountering humans.  Presented by Brown Bear Car Wash, these educational exercises – including a backyard wedding encounter – will illustrate what happens when wild bears enter human backyards and campsites.

Learn about the dangers of improper food storage, and ways to bear-proof your surroundings.  This day of presentations, the Zoo’s ‘Living Northwest Conservation Program’, will also spotlight other native wildlife and how we can best coexist with wolves, raptors, butterflies and more.

As with nearly all Zoo activities, the presentations are free with paid entry into Woodland Park.  Take a look at the schedule of activities and plan your visit to our award-winning zoo accordingly:
