On Wednesday, September 19th, students from B.F. Day Elementary School will get to learn about efforts to Save Salmon in Fremont! At 1p, the students will get a sneak peek at a public program on how efforts to clean polluted run-off from the Aurora Bridge will ultimately help our salmon population.
This lesson in water science, and the history of the George Washington Memorial Bridge (a.k.a. Aurora,) will be also available to the general public. The Salmon Safe project is calling attention to all six Seattle bridges and how polluted roadway runoff affects the Lake Washington Ship Canal and the health of our marine life.
