On Thursday, August 14th from 5p – 7p, The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar will welcome Greg Lambrecht, the founder of the Coravin Wine Access System.  This presentation and demonstration will share a type of new technology that has revolutionized the way wine can be stored.

The Coravin Access System is essentially a hand-held device that injects Argon gas into wine bottles while extracting the wine, a glass at a time.  Invented by Lambrecht, the Coravin keeps the oxidizing air from entering corked wine bottles – keeping the wine remaining in the bottle sealed up tight.

Barrel Thief has been using the Coravin System for almost a year, serving over 150 bottles of wine one glass at a time.  At this presentation, Lambrecht will answer questions about Coravin, while attendees get a chance to sample fantastic wines already tapped, including Château Carbonnieux Blanc (Bordeaux),Château Nenin (Pomerol, Bordeaux), Signorello Estate (Napa Valley), and Washington wineries Betz and Col Solare.

This free, educational and 21+ presentation will include light appetizers, opportunities to buy a Coravin Access Systems device, and a raffle where one lucky attendee will win their own device.  For more information on this, or any Barrel Thief presentation, contact gotyerwhiskey@bthief.com
