Four times this month, Charles Coughlan of Hana Design will hold classes in Ikebana, the Art of Japanese Flower Design, at NalandaWest.  These classes can be taken as a series, or on a drop-in basis, and they are a great date night or night-out for friends looking for something creative and soul-stirring that they can do together.

“Ikebana is an art of space; the space between branches, flowers and leaves.”Sofu Teshigahara, founder of the modern Sogetsu School of Ikebana

These classes in Ikebana take place on Wednesdays from 7:15p – 9:15p, and on Thursdays from Noon – 2p.  The classes in November take place on the 7th, 8th, 28th, and 29th – and all classes are open for beginners to advanced students.

Everyone is welcome to come and share in this beautiful art that combines nature with manual skill.  All materials needed are provided.  A $20 materials fee is suggested, and can be paid during class.
