Today, as part of the Fremont First Friday Art Walk, Fremont’s Lenin statue got dressed in a t-shirt – with a message for the president.
The t-shirt, designed by Doug Reed by his company, Hear Art, carries a message originally crafted during the Iraq war for President Bush.
Decorating the Lenin statue has become a tradition, particularly giving our stern visitor messages that his namesake, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, might have totally opposed – proving that Fremont’s statue isn’t the dead tyrant!
