On Monday, July 11th, at 6:30p, the Fremont Branch Library will host another installment of its quarterly poetry series, in partnership with Floating Bridge Press, presenting three local poets reading their original works and participating in an open discussion about their poems, and this art form.

On July 11th ‘Evening of Poetry,’ hear from Kim Grantier, Janet Knox and Tom Schabarum.  Grantier lives in Shoreline, and has been writing poetry since age 11, and has published a chapbook of her work called, ‘Earthmist Poems:  Poetry from the Pacific Northwest.’  Knox, a seven-time Pushcart nominee and finalist for the Discovery/The Nation Award, has been published in magazines all around the U.S. and will be having her play produced at three theaters in the Pacific Northwest.  Schabarum won the 2010 Creekwalker Poetry Prize, has had his poetry published, and his first novel was a 2011 Lambda Literary Award Finalist.

This free event is open-to-the-public, and books of poetry, by these authors and others, will be available for purchase at the reading from Floating Bridge Press.  For more information on this quarter’s ‘Evening of Poetry,’ call the Fremont Branch Library at 206/684-4084.
