LUDC Reviews Grant Money For Local Road Projects

At History House, on Monday, July 1st, starting at 5p, the Lake Union District Council (LUDC) will review City grant requests for street improvements and hear a presentation on proposed improvements for Aurora Avenue by Jonathan Dong of the Seattle Department of Transportation.

Earlier this year, the LUDC voted on projects for two different funds distributed by the City of Seattle to pay for improvements proposed by the citizens.  The projects approved by the LUDC have now undergone a cost analysis, and this body will need to prioritize the projects once again.

Read about these projects in previous Fremocentrist.com featured columns on the 2013 Neighborhood Parks & Street Fun, and on the third installment of the Neighborhood Streets Fund (under the 2006 Bridging the Gap Levy.)

In addition to these presentations/votes, the LUDC will hear from City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Coordinator Rob Mattson on the 2013 District Council Outreach Fund, and an update on the Seattle Bike Master Plan.

For more information, attend the upcoming meeting on July 1st, or contact LUDC staffer Mattson at 206/684-4051 or rob.mattson@seattle.gov
