On January 7th, at 7p, The Barrel Thief Wine & Whiskey Bar will host a workshop on how to make maraschino cherries at home. Rather than waiting for sour cherries in season, learn to make them from canned ingredients that can be bought, locally, anytime.
Homemade maraschino cherries can brighten up your favorite classic cocktail, or give a jar as a gift to a favorite bartender. The workshop costs $20, and includes all the ingredients and supplies participants will need to make an 8 oz. jar of cherries to take home, along with the recipe, hints and tips.
