METRO Reminds Everyone of Safe Transit Options

While METRO can now operate at full capacity, mask wearing is still required by all passengers. Photo provided by METRO Transit

On Monday, July 5th, in observance of Independence Day – a National Holiday – METRO Transit will operate on its Sunday schedule.

For those who choose transit, visit the METRO Matters Blog, to get news and updates about events and services impacted by the holiday and other occurrences.

As of July 3rd, METRO has lifted vehicle capacity limits set by COVID-19 prevention measures.  All METRO buses, streetcars and water taxis are, once again, able to operate at full capacity.  However, face masks are still required by all riders on METRO transit.  Passengers are also requested and required to maintain a six-foot distance from METRO drivers, except when paying fares.  And, as always, please stay home if you feel sick.

Transit service may be interrupted by weather, construction, events or unexpected activities.  Please be prepared for delays, or to make revisions to your travel plans.  Depending on the time, and nature, of such events, METRO may not be able to provide real-time information or service updates.
