More Activities – And Discounts – Added To Fremont Festivus

500px15Festivus_PosterThis weekend, December 4th, 5th & 6th, Fremont Festivus will celebrate our community, and specifically our business district, and the holiday season.  We’re doing this with a collection of (mostly) free activities and events scheduled over the three days – and more keep being added.  Find the complete list on the Fremont Festivus website!

In addition to the main events of the Fremont Chamber Lenin Lighting on Friday, at 5p, the first-ever Rocket Re-Launch on Saturday, also at 5p, and the Fremont Holiday Market on Sunday, from 10a – 4p, Festivus now also includes:

  • On Friday, Dec 4th, from 5p – 7p, Dragonfly Holistic Healing will hold an open house for their new clinic at 3401 Evanston Ave N (2nd floor of the Red Door building) in Suite A.  Come check out their new digs, and the services they can now offer in it.
  • On Friday, Dec 4th, from 6p – 9p, as part of the Fremont First Friday Art Walk, Frame-Up Studios will have a display of wonderful block prints by artist Liz Neuman, and live music by the duo Tangere.
  • On Saturday, Dec 5th, Fremont Health Club is offering three free workout classes for those needing a break from shopping, or from sitting indoors avoiding the winter weather.  From 10a – 10:30a, Intro To ‘Hit The Barre’ – a high-intensity interval training to get the heart rate up, using smaller repetitive movements to lengthen and tone.  From 10:30a – 11a, Intro To Bodyweight – learn everything needed to participate in the popular bodyweight class at Fremont HC, and modifications that would make this workout more individualized, by doing planks, push-ups, squats, lunges, and other fundamental, core-strengthening postures.  From Noon – 1p, MixxedFit® – a people-inspired dance fitness program that mixes explosive dancing and boot camp toning, using movements big, exaggerated, and full-out.  Gym shoes, proper clothes and a willing attitude are all that are needed to take part in a class – or all three.  For more information, contact Lillian@fremonthc.com or call 206/632-2200
