The Woodland Park Zoo remains committed to the health and wellness of everyone, whether visitor or resident. This summer is an ideal time to get out into the fresh air and stroll the expansive grounds of Woodland Park, and visit some of the familiar faces – and a few new ones.
The Red ruffed Lemur pups, born in March, have been introduced to their outdoor habitat, and you can enjoy watching them bounce and play. The energetic infants love climbing through the leafy canopy of their home, and can be spotted by everyone who comes to visit.
Visiting the Zoo is now easier, as COVID-19 transmission restrictions are eased. Both Zoo entrances are now open, with all Zoo parking lots now available. Animal keeper talks are returning, to allow visitors to meet the management staff and learn more about the animals and effort to save these precious creatures. Starting on July 12th, timed-entry tickets will no longer be necessary – although tickets are still available for purchase on-line but also at the gates.
Later this summer, the Historic Carousel will be turning once again – and Zoomazium will re-open this Fall. Right now, though, the Dinosaur Discovery exhibit, presented by T-Mobile, is open, with entry only $5 per person. Travel back to a time when prehistoric giants roamed the Earth, with more than 20 life-sized dinosaurs on display in this immersive experience. Walk alongside the mighty T. Rex, stretch tall like the Brachiosaurus and learn more about the lessons these creatures teach about our animal neighbors at the Zoo.
With ZooTunes returning this month, Woodland Park is a great, safe place to experience the outdoors and our animal friends. Visit Zoo.org for the latest information about Animal Keeper talk schedules – and the face masks policy. Celebrate summer at Woodland Park Zoo!
