The annual pub crawl to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis research, in the form of donations to Molly Johnston’s team in the MS Walk on April 3rd, will take place on Saturday, March 12th, with kick-off at 4p at the Red Door, and the raffle drawing at 7p at The Ballroom.

The 6th Annual MS Pub Crawl will set out to cover Fremont again this year.  The organizer, Molly Johnston, has been relentless in her desire to raise money for a cure for MS since childhood, and her witness to her father’s fight against this disease.  His passing last year, and then diagnosis of her brother as having MS, has only made Johnston more determined to raise money for this worth cause.

That is Fremont’s gain.  Last year, in the pouring rain, supporters swarmed area bars and restaurants – and raised $5,500 for the cause.  This year it is hoped that donors will be just as generous, and bring their friends, to raise $7,000.

In addition to the bars mentioned, the crawl will also visit The Dubliner, Woodsky’s, LTD Bar & Grill and Norm’s Eatery & Ale House.  Purchase of a ticket gets you a T-shirt, which then gets drink specials at these participating establishments.  Tickets are for sale in advance on BrownPaperTickets for $25, or $30 on the day of (either at the Red Door during the kick-off, or from anyone wearing a T-shirt that says “Official” around the ‘hood.)

If you can’t attend the pub crawl – or just don’t wanna – but would still be willing to donate, visit Johnston’s Walk Page.  Help the MS Society fund a cure, and help those fighting this disease!
