On Saturday, January 23rd, from 4p – 5:30p on Zoom, NalandaWest invites anyone interested in learning more about living a values-based life to join in a lively, in-depth conversation.  The discussion will be with two Buddhist Chaplains serving in the Veterans Administration, and working with the military.

This conversation will dwell on the values we live by, and the tools that help us live in-line with our own values.  Learn more about moral injury and those who experience it, by hearing about the work of these Buddhist chaplains counseling with those suffering.  Contribute to this discussion on the role of community in supporting values-based living, in relation to the integration of moral injury.

Iraq War veteran and COO of Nalandabodhi International, Ben Mikolaj will MC this values-based living discussion with:

  • Brett Campbell works with active duty airmen focusing on character development and stabilization for military service
  • Rebecca Morris, a Veterans Administration outpatient mental health chaplain, who works with veterans, families and clinicians

The panel will talk about the life of a Buddhist chaplain, and the challenges they face, but they will also take questions from audience members.  This free discussion (donations are welcome,) will be held on Zoom.  Visit the NalandaWest.org website to pre-register and receive the Zoom link – and learn better methods for living our values more deeply and fully.
