A meditation and Buddhist center, as well as an educational and events venue, NalandaWest operates in East Fremont in one of our 100-year-old church buildings. The NalandaWest community has done a beautiful job converting and upgrading their building, but now it is time to professionally replace the roof of the structure – at a cost of $70,000.
On Friday, April 3rd, at 7p, NalandaWest will hold its once-delayed ‘Interconnecting for Good’ 2020 fundraiser, on-line. On FacebookLive, hear and see this benefit celebration, and give money to help replace the roof of this community center.
This night of celebration and music will feature special guests: harpist Monica Schley and guitarist Danny Godinez. Feel the power of music to transform the mind and benefit the being during this virtual concert.
Seattle’s most versatile harpist, Schley was classically trained, and freelances in many musical styles. In addition to her performances with The Daphnes and her work with other musicians, Schley is a Certified Clinical Musician who plays in hospitals and hospice facilities.
A singer-songwriter, Godinez is known for his inventive and inspiring solo performances, showcasing his fiery guitar technique, thoughtful vocal songs, and experimental grooves. Godinez has accompanied a wide variety of musical figures, and toured extensively throughout Europe and the U.S.
Tune in via NalandaWest Facebook Live (click here) at 7p to enjoy the musical stylings of these two professional and popular performers, and to join the community supporting this vital venue. It costs nothing to tune in and hear the music, Interconnecting Us for Good, but everyone listening – and anyone who can – is invited to donate on the ‘Raise The Roof’ donation page (click here.)
