Caring for someone with memory loss? Do you need support? Information? The Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups provide a place for caregivers to learn and gain support from others also caring for a person with dementia. Further, these support groups can provide participants with personalized information on care management, services, research and treatment options.
Starting in April 2013, a free support group for unpaid care partners, family, and friends of individuals with memory loss will be held on the first Monday of each month from 2p – 3:30p at the Wallingford Community Senior Center. Come find a place that can give care back.
In 2011, nearly 320,000 people in the state of Washington cared for loved ones living with dementia. The Alzheimer’s Association is the world leader in Alzheimer’s disease research and support – for the only disease in the top ten causes of death without prevention, cure or a known way to slow its progression.
