West of Lenin Presents A Smattering Of Samuel Beckett

For four brief evenings, July 17th – 20th, local theater West of Lenin (WoL) will have a short-run of a play by Samuel Beckett called ‘Rockaby.’  Featuring the incredible talent of Susanna Burney, this brief work will be performed for limited audiences – get tickets today!

This short play charts a woman’s journey back into life before she arrives at death.  Director A.J. Epstein explained his choice of Beckett by saying, “His works are timeless and both individually and collectively speak to the absurdity of the human condition.”  Widely recognized as one of the greatest dramatists of the twentieth century, Beckett was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1969.  He is most renowned for his play ‘Waiting for Godot.’

Take this brief opportunity to enjoy one of Beckett’s lesser known works in the comfort and easily accessible West of Lenin.  Purchase tickets through Brown Paper Tickets, and show your support for live, local theater while experiencing unique entertainment right now in Fremont.
