On Saturday, July 18th, the Glass Eye Studio and the Down Under Gallery are both holding safe, socially distant events meant to provide opportunities for local artists.
The Glass Eye Studio is holding its socially distanced Summer Sidewalk Sale on Saturday from 9a – 1p. Find incredible deals on handblown glass art, gifts and collectibles made by the Glass Eye artisan team. Stock up on classic ornaments, paperweights, garden accessories and samples, while enjoying food, music and glass art by talented community artists friendly to Glass Eye. Visit the GlassEye.com website (click here,) to learn more about the sale and the special guests displaying on July 18th.
On Saturday, from 4p – 7p, the Down Under will hold an Artist’s Reception for Filip Tuhy in the Garden around the Gallery. Tuhy has a display of his parkour photos in the Gallery through July, and he will be in the garden to explain this movement activity – and his photos of action and architecture. Following safety protocols, attendees will be allowed in to the Gallery in very small groups, to see this show and the other art on display. Find out more about the Artist’s Reception in the Garden on the Facebook event page (click here.)
As with all activities and businesses in Fremont, everyone is required to wear a mask and encouraged to be careful about their physical distance. Both businesses will be doing their best to clean all surfaces, and keep everyone – staff and visitors – safe and healthy! Hope to see you there!!
