Nominations Sought For Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards

Nominations are currently being sought for the Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards, to celebrate the people and organizations that broaden our horizons and humanize our city and our world.  The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture (ARTS) is seeking nominations for their Mayor’s Art Awards thru March 8th.

Please nominate a person or an organization to be recognized for their work over the last year.  Nominations will be evaluated by a panel comprised of Seattle Arts Commissioners, and previous award recipients.

From the pool of nominations, four recipients will be chosen based on the aspirations of:

  • furthering racial equity and social justice
  • exemplifies artistic excellence
  • a leader in the field
  • emerging artistic voice
  • cultural icon
  • innovation incubator
  • fights for justice in arts’ education

Nominees may be a person of any age or background, or an organization or community group.  Please let ARTS know who should be recognized for their work in the community, in educations, in the arts landscape and in living out our hopes for a more just and equitable society.
