On Sunday, August 24th, from 1p – 4p, the Seattle Police Foundation welcomes all Seattleites – young and old – to join the Seattle Police Department in a celebration and introduction of the North Precinct.  The 2014 North Picnic In The Park will take place at the University Heights Center, at 5031 University Way NE.

The Picnics in the Precincts are a series of events held around the city every year to provide the communities in each of Seattle’s five precincts to gather and meet their local police.  These relaxed, non-enforcement events give everyone a chance to talk, and celebrate, on a good day – rather than only during the worst days of our lives.

Enjoy free food, entertainment and raffle prizes – plus information on preventing crime.  Also, meet new Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole.  The picnic will feature tables and booths staffed by local, community based, non-profit and informational groups and agencies.

If you have never attended a Picnic in the Precinct, or if you have questions you’ve always wanted answered about policing in Seattle, please make the effort to stop by, have a bite and join in with the rest of our community at the Picnic for the North Precinct on August 24th.
