For January 18th, Seattle Public Utilities has cancelled all trash, yard waste and recycling pick-ups today – those who normally have their pick-up on Wednesdays will be able to leave out double the normal amount next Wednesday.

Finally, METRO has issued an alert that transit service will be on an extremely limited service today.  They advise riders carefully consider if they must go out, and do so well-prepared for the cold, with their patience in hand, especially as the evening commute heats up and the temperatures cool down.
